Homo dragalensis is an ironic-poetic vision of an imaginary human species – blue-faced figures with elongated necks and vivid yellow hair, standing in a boundless space between earth and sky. While playfully evoking the pseudo-scientific discovery of a new “species,” the painting reflects on human strangeness, difference, and anonymity in the contemporary world.
